WHY THE GANG UP AGAINST KENNETH GBAGI? DELTANS SHOULD WISE-UP!
The only reason why the gang up against Gbagi and his Governorship aspiration, is because the said cabal in the State headed by James Ibori, are scared of Kenneth Gbagi, whom they cannot control, manipulate or mislead like they do others…
Ibori himself has shown no iota of Repentance or remorse for the financial atrocities he committed against the State…
All the other Governorship aspirants currently spreading monies/gifts to buy the conscience of people and have their way in their political pursuits, do not mean well for Delta State and its people... And the monies actually belongs to Delta State…
I will not succumb to any form of intimidation, in trying to make me not to talk about, and expose the evil and abnormality going on in Delta State political space for years…
Is it not surprising to note that Kenneth Gbagi, despite being a foundational member of the PDP in Delta State, but apparently, there is evidently a gang up by the some cabal within the State's PDP that has held the State hostage since 1999. And the only reason why this gang up against Gbagi, especially against his aspiration to be Governor of Delta State, is simply because the said cabal in the State's PDP headed by James Ibori, are scared of the wits of Kenneth Gbagi, whom they consider as a strong character that cannot be controlled, manipulated or misled by them.
What is more important is the fact that Gbagi can never be answerable and controlled by the unrepentant and unremorseful James Onanefe Ibori as an ex-convict that stole Delta State's public funds with reckless abandon and impunity with the help of some of his Aides and Executive Cabinet while in Government. But thanks to the British Government, Ibori was jailed for his atrocities and the Nigerian Government is still battling to have the loot he stole then, repatriated to the country. The only thing is that Ibori himself has shown no iota of Repentance or remorse for the financial atrocities he committed against the State.
Sadly, Ibori and his Delta cabal are still bent on holding the state to ransom by wanting to influence and manipulate the political space in the State so as to have one of their own back in Government House, to continue their practice of looting the State's funds meant for development of Delta State and its people. But the question is, should we allow Ibori and his cabal to plunge their claws and continue controlling Delta State Government for life? Is Delta State now the 'personal investment' of Ibori?
All of them that are today aspiring to contest for the governorship election in Delta State, which include James Manager, David Edevbie, Ighoyota Amori and Others, are Ibori's loyalists except Kenneth Gbagi with the PDP. And for this, Kenneth Gbagi is seen as a great threat to them because he is one that cannot be misled to answer to anybody.
As for James Manager, reliable sources have revealed that he has already bought and distributed Toyota Sienna vehicles numbering 25, to all his Delta State Local Government Coordinators, and also gave them N3m each. James Manager also allegedly gave Helen Oboro two new Toyota Prado Landcruiser Jeeps with the sum of N20m (Twenty million Naira) as pocket money, and as his Deputy running mate come 2023. I was told too that James Manager has dispatched his foot soldiers to give Thousands of Naira with some spirits/dry drinks like Hennessy/Remy Martin, etc., to some grassroots politicians in all the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State.
For David Edevbie, I was told he has dispatched his own foot soldiers and has given cash, costly wines and Thousands of Naira to some grassroots politicians in all the 25 Local Government Areas. Let us also recall that James Manager was the Commissioner of Works, appointed by James Ibori in his administration. David Edevbie also held the portfolio as a Commissioner of Finance appointed by Ibori during his administration as Governor of Delta State.
Now the question is, what was the financial status of James Manager and David Edevbie before 1999, before they were appointed Commissioners by James Ibori? I challenge them to tender their bank statements before May 29, 1999, before they were appointed by their political godfather. And let us see if their finances grew with only their salaries and earnings as then Commissioners, or that their accounts increased in volume over the years with unexplained streams of funds from suspicious sources.
Let be known that all these monies that they are now sharing to buy the conscience of people and have their way in their political pursuits, actually belongs to Delta State. All of their properties, were built with Delta State money and were from Delta State treasuries. This is because, Ibori could not have looted Delta State funds alone, without the cooperation, collaboration and help of his then Commissioners, Aides, the Accountant Generals/Permanent Secretaries in the various Delta State Ministries and Department during James Ibori's administration. And let it be known that the monies spent already by these former Commissioners and their Aides, are enough reason to conclude that they are regrouping to be elected Governor of Delta State come 2023, so as to loot and start from where their godfather Ibori stopped.
Why else would they be spending so much at the moment trying to win their way into the hearts of people, so as to get supporters for their governorship ambition? And Deltans will be foolish to think that these people are spending these monies for nothing. Be rest assured that if they should find their way into Delta State Government House, the State's treasury will greatly suffer in their hands.
Come to think of it, how much is the salary (plus bonuses) of a Governor or Senator? So, why do we think they are spending so much money when the 2023 election is still afar off? Deltans should use their heads and think, and realize that these people do not mean well for Delta State. They are nothing but sheeps in wolves clothing.
The likes of James Ibori, Ighoyota Amori, David Edevbie, James Manager and Others, have been feeding fat on Government, and they see the Delta State Government and the Government of Nigeria as their farmyards. I was told Ighoyota Amori is the Chief Coordinator of Ibori, as the Deputy head of the Ibori cabal, to bring all Ibori loyalists together to regroup to have one of their own to enter Delta State Government House by all means necessary in 2023. So as to start their financial squandering as usual. These people simply have nothing to offer the State, other than looting and giving out peanuts to appease the poor masses.
In my opinion, Gbagi remains the surest bet as a governorship aspirant with the clout, stamina, intellectual capability and business/entrepreneurial skills to rescue Delta State from the clutches of Ibori and his cabal. Whether we believe it or not, Ibori has held Delta State captive since 1999. We need to deliberately put the required effort that would grant Delta State freedom from this captor and unrepentant ex-convict, James Ibori.
While everyone that is of age has the constitutional right to contest for public offices in an election if they want to, but that does not mean they should play 'dirty politics' by starting a smear campaign against another political candidate they see as a threat. If we are to be truthful to ourselves, we would come to the same conclusion that Delta State desperately needs someone like Kenneth Gbagi to bring his entrepreneurial skills that would drastically develop the State to the desired heights.
The people of Delta State don't need politicians who would feed on government and live on government as their business enterprises. Like I have said several times, places like Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Singapore, Kuwait, etc., were not built by spirits but by human beings. It is very possible to have the same, or similar development in Delta State considering the sort of revenues that accrue to the State, if only the people will wake up from their slumber and ensure that the right person is put in the State's Government House.
It is time for us to do without these bunch of politicians who feed only on government. They are simply afraid of Gbagi because he will not satisfy their usual appetite for looting/misappropriating the State's treasury. Ibori and his men have taken government as their farmyards, and they are ready to do the unthinkable just to have their way. An Urhobo politician who confided in someone said: "I know Gbagi will perform well as a Governor of Delta State, but my fear is that you can't dictate to him. And two, I am too old to be jailed." When he was asked why will you be jailed? He said: "I did not do some of the government jobs given to me to specification."
These, and many more are some of the reasons why they have now ganged up against Gbagi, and have used the four supposed Gbagi hotel workers that are thieves, to try and discredit and rubbish him so that he will not be able to contest the governorship election of the State. And also so that Gbagi will be hated by the public and seen as a wicked and heartless man. But like I said earlier, if those behind all of this have enough evidence as they claim, then they should focus on proving their case in the law court, rather than spreading stories on different social media platforms in carrying out their smear campaigns.
To those who think I am doing all of this because I was paid by anyone, they are wrong and greatly mistaken. My integrity is very much intact, and it is not something that one can purchase like food in the market. It takes years to build one's integrity. My support for Gbagi is strictly based on my personal principles as a concerned Deltan who desirous wants to see positive changes in Delta State in the interest of the common man. But I will not succumb to anyone's, or group of persons intimidation, in trying to make me not talk about, and expose the evil and abnormality going in Delta State political space.
