WHY THE BROUHAHA OVER BULLION VEHICLES IN TINUBU'S PREMISES?

Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu
The controversy over the bullion vehicle seen in Tinubu's premises in Ikoyi Lagos on the eve of the general elections, is uncalled for. It is not strange that party agents are paid before and during elections. And it could be that the money in the said bullion vehicles were meant to be used to pay APC party agents.
I am not speaking for, or in defence of Tinubu and the APC party. But I believe there are far more important issues we should be talking about as a people, than to waste energy and time over something that is not out of the ordinary. It is not a crime to use bullion vehicles to carry money in this country. Some branches of churches even use bullion vehicles in Warri to transport their offerings to the bank.
The only crime is when the money in bullion vehicles are believed to be stolen money. And in Tinubu's case, there is no evidence of missing money reported by any bank at that time, or snatched money that were kept in the bullion vehicles. Let us not waste our energy over unfruitful exercises. EFCC can only investigate fraud and stolen money. EFCC has no power to investigate bullion vehicles seen in private premises.
I don't know why Nigerian elites don't know how to address issues of this nature. Nobody reported stolen money that was taken to Tinubu's premises by bullion vehicles. So, all of this is just empty noise. What will the EFCC investigate? Investigate a bullion vehicle parked in a private compound? Like I said, I am not defending Tinubu, just stating it the way it is. Will the EFCC ask people why there is money in their pockets? Is the EFCC established to investigate bullion  vehicles, or to investigate fraud? Tinubu will say the money in the bullion vehicles was for the payments of APC agents on the election day. This case will not go anywhere.
