Okowa will fail woefully in bid to be defacto governor. He must be voted out on 18th May 2023

WHY DELTANS MUST SHUN OKOWA AND HIS STOOGE, OBOREVWORI

Ahead of tomorrow's governorship and state assembly elections, we maintain that despite all the vote buying, Sherriff Oborevwori and his drowning sponsor, Governor Ifeanyi, will be kicked out of Delta State Government House.

They, with their repulsive celebration of incompetence, greed and insensitivity that characterised their tortious, regretful eight years rule over Delta, have overstayed their welcome.

More than Delta electorate, Oborevwori and Okowa know better that there is no escape for them on the impending doom. And they will pay dearly for the mockery they have subjected the state and her people.

And I think Okowa's predecessor, Emmanuel Uduaghan who has proven to be finding it hard to learn from history must call self to order and realise how not to delight in self humiliation, even in greatness.

Was Uduaghan not same victim Okowa frustrated out of PDP, ran to APC and was roundly defeated by James Manager of PDP in the 2019 senatorial election for Delta South District?

After shamelessly running back to PDP with a promise by Okowa to give his daughter a State Assembly ticket, same Okowa aggravated his humiliation of Uduaghan, denying the daughter the Warri North assembly ticket while Okowa's own daughter got a seamless ticket and their supreme benefactor, Chief James Ibori's daughter already a Rep member-elect.

Why in the face of all of the mockery, Uduaghan chose to suddenly turn Oborevwori's defacto Chief Campaign Spokesman and image launderer? One would have thought Uduaghan in his self serving promo of a misfit as Oborevwori, should support from behind the scenes and not to be heard, like Ibori's current self respecting disposition.

Why would Uduaghan expect any Deltan to take him serious on choice of who succeeds Okowa when himself made a mess of a governor's power of incumbency to impose a successor in 2015?

Deltans, least of all, Okowa, haven't forgotten that Uduaghan, driving the power of a seating governor beyond limit, failed in the ambition to impose then unwanted Tony Obuh. The repercussions forced him into the early political retirement he is suffering today.

Methinks Uduaghan, rather than arrogating self as Oborevwori's Spokesman, should at this point be more worried that Ejele was given the misplaced Delta State senatorial ticket he had lost to APC. Uduaghan should be worried that under his watch as Iteskiri's current topmost political leader, his people, like Urhobos, have drifted into an era where the ignorant, community tyrants, are elevated or lorded over the most informed and organised.

Delta has degenerated to choosing of community tyrants as political leaders who are being sponsored by Okowa. Sherriff, a known Osubi tyrant is the best choice of Okowa for governor.

Between Okowa and Uduaghan, Deltans must begin to wonder whether it would be worth it to have another medical doctor as governor of Delta in the near future. Aside their abysmal performances as governors, Uduaghan set the tone for the celebration of incompetence and ignorance in the choice of appointive and elective political officeholders in his regime. Okowa elevated this impunity when he came in.

With this disposition of theirs, it is not strange, but most reprehensible, that at Delta Central's turn to re-occupy Government House, Asaba, of all the informed and capable minds abound in Urhobo, it is a community tyrant, a rubber stamp Assembly Speaker with doubtful school and birth certificates that Okowa and Uduaghan, two trained medical doctors, one the incumbent governor, the other his predecessor, consider as most qualified to be Delta next governor.

"We know say no be clear eye, na long throat dey push two medical doctors to say na blind man fit to lead them and all Deltans for krokro 2023".

All the many loans with which Okowa mortgaged Delta, up to the hilt, to sponsor Atiku have been lost, along with those he will lose to fighting meaningless court cases. And with the failed vice presidential bid, Okowa is now left to pursue his third term bid as a defacto governor. He will still fail.

Whether he bribes all Delta civil servants, council workers, Oborevwori is another failed project.  Delta workers and councils staffs have told Okowa, "you have not been workers friendly, no promotions benefits, you suffer retirees with gratuities and pensions." Council staff have told Oborevwori, "you rejected Local Government Autonomy, we won't vote you."

If Delta workers are as much filled with loathing against Okowa and Oborevwori, when will rest of Deltans learn that there is nothing good in Okowa's administration and must not be allowed to extend his tenure with Sheriff, a misfit with doubtful academic and birth certificates. Sheriff is the most unqualified of Delta 2023 governorship candidates.

Those who are shouting Sherified are the most irresponsible Deltans, blinded by unreasonable stomach infrastructure. If competence and standards are applied, Sheriff is not worth a Local Government Councilor, talk much of being a rubber stamp speaker of Delta Assembly.

Okowa will fail woefully in bid to be defacto governor. He must be voted out on 18th May 2023. Anyone who votes Sherriff it means you have voted Okowa"s as third term governor to remain in office using Oborevwori as veil.

We need freedom of democracy but such must be done with sincerity of purpose and not democracy run by tyrants, unlettered charlatans and ruffians/goons.
