POINT OF CORRECTION ON STATUS OF WARRI
TOWNSHIP

Dom Domingos was a Portuguese mulatto. Dom Domingos is a Portuguese name. Itsekiri women took advantage of the male European invaders who didn't come with their wives due to fear of mosquitoe bites that could cause acute malaria diseases hence they produced Dom Domingos who was a mulatto that became Olu of Itsekiri ,a rejected Portuguese mulatto. Itsekiri men who were their inlaws became slave dealers. Is that what Itsekiri people should be proud of.

The thinking that other tribes can't produce MD of NDDC when they leave Delta state is a false narrative.

In the so-called oil feild of Itsekiriland, Itsekiri people who are natives don't even live in them. They remain in major cities to harvest the gains from those communities while their locals suffer in those hamlets. Except Anioma, every tribe's land in Delta are rich in production of oil and gas.

Who cares if they leave Delta state?

Urhobo, Ijaw, Itsekiri, Isoko and Ndokwa are major oil & gas producers. Utorogu has the largest natural gas reserve in the heart of Urhoboland. It is only Anioma that don't produce crude oil & natural gas in Delta.

Itsekiri should wake up and stop dreaming. The Itsekiri should tell themselves the bitter truth about themselves rather than dreaming. Itsekiri deliberately abandoned their villages and towns in the creeks and Benin river to lay false claim of ownership of Warri.

What you call Warri Township today is the home town of the Agbarha-Ame and Okere Urhobo.  Itsekiri people should return to their towns and hamlets in creeks to live in them and develop them rather than clogging around major cities while their home communities are going into extinction.

Ijaws are fast developing their home communities in creeks in Warri South West while the Itsekiris are busy dragging land. Most Itsekiri villages and towns are imaginary since they are  only on paper but not on ground.

Olu of Itsekiri is the monarch of Itsekiri people and Itsekiri Kingdom does not extend to Okere-Urhobo and Agbarha-Ame land in Warri Township. Itsekiri should go and trace their communities in Benin river and creeks and live in them as other tribes in Delta do.
