WHO ARE THOSE WHO AIDED JAMES IBORI’S LOOT – THEY SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED INTO DELTA STATE EXECUTIVE GOVERNMENT SPACE, AND BE MADE TO FACE THE FULL WRATH OF THE LAW

WHO ARE THOSE WHO AIDED JAMES IBORI’S LOOT – THEY SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED INTO DELTA STATE EXECUTIVE GOVERNMENT SPACE, AND BE MADE TO FACE THE FULL WRATH OF THE LAW
It is no longer news or regarded as allegations that former Delta State Governor, James Ibori actually looted the Delta State treasury to a bleeding point while he was Governor of the State for Eight years, judging by all the recoveries being made so far by the British Government and tied to his name. But I also noted the fact that it could not have been possible for Ibori to have stolen all that money from the State Government coffers alone, without the assistance and help by some principal officers of the then State Government under his leadership?
This is an important question that needs to be asked and considered because, though Ibori was Governor then, he could not have on his own, dipped his hands into the public purse to move the said loots out of the State's coffers. In other words, at the time Ibori governed Delta State, who were the members of his then Executive Council? Who were the Commissioner(s) of Finance, Works, Education, Health, etc.? Who were the Permanent Secretaries, Auditor-Generals, Accountant-Generals and Treasury-Accountants under his administration? What were their roles in all of this at that time?
The then Governor Ibori of Delta State, could not have stolen all that money alone without the active participation and cooperation of these Commissioners then, especially the then Commissioner of Finance, and Commissioner for Works. No dime of Delta State could have been stolen/moved by Ibori without the authorization of these principal Executive members of his then cabinet. The then Commissioner for Finance for instance, was the one in charge of the State's finance. But why has no one been beaming the searchlight on these former Commissioners and Executive Council members under Ibori then? Why is Ibori the only one being castigated in this entire loot recovery episode?
It is in the light of this that I, therefore, urge the anti-graft agencies addressed here, to beam their searchlights on all the former Commissioners and Executive Council Members under Ibori’s administration back then. The anti-graft agencies should ascertain these people's financial status before and after they were in that Ibori led Government. What were the bank account details of these people before they became Commissioners/Government Officials under Ibori? What assets do they have then when compared to what it is now? Where were they living then? And where are their homes now? How would they have come with practically nothing into the State Government, and suddenly elevated their status having aided in the looting? And now, they are regrouping to be in the next Government after Governor Ifeanyi Okowa?
Also, I strongly believe that all the former Commissioners and other Executive Council members under James Ibori back then when he was Governor, should be outrightly rejected by the people of Delta State from contesting as Governor, or any elective position in the Delta State Government. The people of Delta State cannot have this set of politicians 'regroup' again to remain in the political space of Delta State. These people never meant well for Delta State. If they did, we would not be in the mess we are in today in the State. All of Ibori's former Commissioners should not be allowed to ever contest as Governor of Delta State or any other position for that matter. It is apparent to all Deltans that they all colluded with Ibori to steal the State's funds with reckless abandon and impunity. I repeat, Deltans and the anti-graft agencies/Commissions should demand and ask for all their bank details as supposed public officers, before they were appointed by Ibori as Commissioners, and what their said accounts became within that government's period.
These Delta State politicians think that Deltans are foolish and cannot remember their role in Ibori’s Government then. Even if the majority of the people have been foolish for so many years, is it not time for them to retrace their footsteps and become more sensible to know that anybody who was part of that Ibori's administration of terror and financial recklessness, does not believe in the progress of the State. And should be seen for who they really are; scavengers who only want to come and destroy the State further. Indeed, Deltans must arise and stop all these people regrouping to return to the Executive Government of Delta State.
The crux of the matter is that it is time for the anti-graft agencies to look into the personal accounts of all Ibori's former Commissioners/members of his then Executive Council, including their assets before they were appointed as Commissioners in Delta State. We can no longer sit back and allow this evil to slide. These people need to be exposed for all to see them for who they really are. We just can't allow these 'public rogues' to go back to the Delta State Government House and space.
