WE COMMEND SENATOR OVIE OMO-AGEGE'S MOVE FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE SUPPRESSED ABRAKA STATE CONSTITUENCY, BUT THERE STILL THE JEREMI STATE CONSTITUENCY LEFT TO BE RESTORED

WE COMMEND SENATOR OVIE OMO-AGEGE'S MOVE FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE SUPPRESSED ABRAKA STATE CONSTITUENCY, BUT THERE STILL THE JEREMI STATE CONSTITUENCY LEFT TO BE RESTORED
We consider it necessary to delightfully commend Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy Senate President, for taking a major legislative move and motion to reawaken and restore Abraka State Constituency. This means that the Abraka State Constituency will now have a lawmaker to represent Abraka Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Without a doubt, this is a job well done for Senator Omo-Agege's Delta State Constituency which was shortchanged by past administrations. However, we are requesting that Senator Omo-Agege should equally make a similar motion to restore JEREMI STATE Constituency, which was shortchanged by past administrations as well. I still remember that during the NPN and Shehu Shagari Federal Government administration, we had Two STATE Lawmakers that represented JEREMI and EWU/OLOMU STATE CONSTITUENCIES under the then Bendel State in the then Bendel State House of Assembly.
Sir Harrison Jefia, was the one who had represented Jeremi Constituency in the then Bendel State House of Assembly. While Chief Omaruaye represented the Ewu/Olomu Constituency in the then Bendel State House of Assembly. Under Olorogun Felix Ibru as the first Elected Governor of Delta State when it was created then, Mr. Jighu was elected to represent the Jeremi Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly. While Mr. Mokpo was elected to represent Ewu/Olomu Constituency. But surprisingly, all of this were missing with the Government of James Ibori, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa administrations. And we really cannot explain why this was so.
It is therefore the appropriate time for those concerned to correct this wrong, and restore the JEREMI and EWU/OLOMU Constituencies, so that they can have the opportunity to elect Two lawmakers in Ughelli South. If under Bendel State these Two Constituencies were created and recognised then by the FEDERAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION(FEDECO), I see no reason why they are now missing under the created Delta State. I think Senator Omo-Agege should right this wrong too.
