SLEASE IN OIL SECTOR: FAROUK MUST NOT DODGE PROBE WITH AFTERTHOUGHT RESIGNATION
-By Zik Gbemre
We hear Ahmed Farouk and Co resigned from NMDPRA under unclear circumstances.
Will this be end of discussion on the corrupt allegations made by Dangote against Farouk?
Or will they prosecute him on false pretence as if he was dealt with but to be discharged to go and enjoy his loots?
The entire NNPCL and its subsidiaries like NEPL, Nigerian Gas Company are over corrupt and need to be scrapped because they have no economic relevance.
The impunity by politicians and public office holders is a cause for concern.
Dollar billionaire Aliko Dangote has openly accused and petitioned Ahmed Farouk for living above his legimate incomes as a public official when he was Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA),a subsidiary of NNPCL.
Ahmed Farouk, a paid public officer living lavishly and wasteful with his family is just one in a crowd of corrupt public office holders. The EFCC and police who are to arrest such a person are turning a blind eye.
The police especially prefer arresting and detaining innocent Nigerians indiscriminately for cyberstalking, cyber bullying, cyber intimidation, breach of peace.
Those public office holders and police at cyber crime Centre Abuja headed by CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry are the people breaching the peace and cyber bullying Nigerians with all kinds of fabricated offences while they romance with the thieves.
The NPF National Cybercrime Centre Abuja headed by CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry is supposed to be tracking these stolen public funds and kidnappers collecting ransoms from families of victims.
NNPCL has turned to money making business for individuals working. All the NNPCL subsidiaries including Nigerian Gas Company, refineries, NEPL are nothing but wasteful gov't companies.
They add no economic value to oil & gas production in the country. It is not business of gov't to run business enterprises but because the politicians use them to loot public treasury while their staff steal as much as they can.
The Nigeria's problem is who will watch over who. Those who are supposed to fight against fraud are frauds themselves. So who will bring sanity to entire sectors.
