THE NEED TO REVERSE THE RECENT BAN OF PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP FROM SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
January 9, 2021 | News
We once again condemn the attack of the US Capitol Hill by some aggrieved supporters of Donald Trump. The collateral damage resulting in the death of some individuals is also regrettable. But I believe blocking Trump from Facebook and other social media platforms, will only worsen the post-election crisis in the US.
THE NEED TO REVERSE THE RECENT BAN OF PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP FROM SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
It will only cause more damage because you cannot use petrol to quench a fire of any kind.
In my opinion, all political protests are usually sponsored by politicians across the globe. The Pro-Democrats protests and Pro-Republicans protests are all sponsored by the same US politicians. It is so all over the world. I still remember when Trump was inaugurated, the Pro-Democrats staged massive protests then but it was well managed by the security operatives. But it is wrong for the US Security Operatives to gun down protesters who are armless, as far as they are not armed. If it were in Africa, the developed countries blame the security operatives of genocide and massacre.
However, no matter what happens, it should be noted that Trump still has over 70 million supporters in the US. Blocking Trump from using such social media platforms like Facebook, is also banning his supporters who are Americans.
So, we condemn the outright ban of Donald Trump from Facebook and Instagram. This is because since inception of his government in 2016, he has been a topic of discussion by many news media who criticize, mock and pass negative comments at his administration. If it were in other countries of the world, he would have used his power and influence as the Commander-In-Chief of the US Armed Forces, to prevail on such news media organizations.
In other words, Trump's ban from these social media platforms seems politically motivated, and as such, an infringement of his fundamental human rights of freedom of speech, expression and association.
As far as we can tell, there are some questions for the operators of these social media platforms to answer. Are they going to ban all his followers and supporters as well from their various social media platforms? Will the ban solve the current situation in America? Will it pacify those already aggrieved by the perceived election outcome injustice? Will the ban unite America and make America great again?
Without prejudice, we will call on the operators of Facebook and Instagram to immediately reverse and unblock President Donald Trump's stated social media accounts, as this will douse the current tension and entrophy in the United States of America. We ask that the right thing be done.
We also appeal to Donald Trump to hand over power as expected, not to just walk away from the White House. He should do what is expected of him as a President, who was duly handed over power by Barack Obama. Donald Trump and his aggrieved supporters have made themselves clear of their grievances on the outcome of the US Presidential election, which is now known to the world. But one of the things that makes one a leader, is to able to accept circumstances you can't change, swallow your pride and ego, and do the needful without animosity. He should even attend Joe Biden's Inauguration in my opinion, and forget what happened because at the end of the day, what should be of paramount importance to Trump, is the peace and unity of America. That is what the world and history will remember him for.
They have spoken clear and loud and their voices have been heard across the world. In my opinion, Trump is a courageous and fearless US leader. His circumstances reminds me of the situation in the Holy Bible when Pilate asked the Jews what they wanted him to do with Jesus, whom he saw was innocent and should be released, but his Jewish people shouted crucify him, and released Barabbas instead who was a criminal. But despite what happened, Jesus remains the Savior of mankind by the Christians, and His Name is still mentioned every second across the globe even after two thousand years.
Right from the ancient days, a prophet is never really honoured by his own people no matter what. As for Trump, he should move on with his life and business empires. Though, Trump is not a spiritual prophet, but he remains a great leader of his people and over 70 million Americans still love him.
