TOMPOLO, PEACE BUILDER OR PEACE BREAKER
Tompolo's commitment to strengthening Delta state peace and security with donation of N10Billion is coloured with doubts and hypocrisy.
Is Tompolo a peace builder or peace breaker? We all know how militancy catapulted Tompolo to being a billionaire. He started with kidnapping of oil expatriate workers under President Olusegun Obasanjo and James Ibori as Delta state governor.
That came along with breaking into operations assets to steal oil and trade crude oil in the Niger Delta. He among Asari Dokubo and other gang leaders escalated oil theft and violence in the operating space to mind blowing level that grounded production in the country at a point.
The kidnapping that started as a minor crime has grown to organised and lucrative business in the entire country. Are Delta people so dull that they have forgotten the past how militancy started in Delta and spread to other South South States and later spread to the entire country?
Militancy catapulted Tompolo to status of a supposed billionaire and peace builder. Tompolo has never been a peace builder. Tompolo was declared wanted by Mohammadu Buhari for years under his APC’s led administration and suddenly rewarded with multi-bilion naira surveillance contracts. That has made him the supposed richest man in Delta.
His watchdogs are all over the place to attack any patriotic Deltan with dissenting view. A few days ago precisely on Sunday on 12th October 2025 a young man, son of a late retired General told me he wasted his time going to university to study and he would rather have told his father to buy him guns instead of paying fees and that by now he would have been wealthy as Asari Dokubo,Tom Atake,Tompolo and co.
He lamented he wasted his time to read instead of being a gangster. Tompolo's background is violence and violent crimes. Tompolo amassed wealth through militancy and now branded chief peace builder in Delta.
The ten billion naira Tompolo donated to the Delta state security Trust Fund, is it his money or money given to him by public officeholders in Delta to publicly donate for their selfish interests?
