THE IRONY OF LIFE NIGERIAN POLITICIANS AND ELITES NEED TO LEARN FROM, AND BE REMINDED ABOUT

No condition is permanent, according to Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. These two men, Babangida and Nzeribe were very powerful. One was a military politician while the other was a civilian politician. Though, he was very active in the military politics of this country. But today they are no longer active and nobody recognizes them any longer. The important politicians of today may not be active in the few years to come. Michael Ibru was once the richest man in Africa, but now Aliko Dangote is the richest man in Africa.
Those who undermine people today, do not know that they will be undermined by others in few years to come. Today, they hardly talk about MKO Abiola, except during June 12. But in the past, Abiola was a household name. This should be a lesson; all Nigerian big men/politician should always learn from. Most Nigerians forget that they will one day go out of fashion and become redundant like the above two prominent Nigerians - Babangida and Nzeribe.
Those Nigerian politicians who think they are all-and-all, and who look down on others due to their ill-gotten wealth, influence, power and connections, should be reminded that power is transient. Political power is too temporary for anyone to gloat and be prideful about. It will not last throughout their lifetime. Today it is Buhari and Osinbajo, and Okowa at the State level; tomorrow it will be somebody else on the drivers’ seat of the country and Delta State. It is all vanity upon vanity. Such, is the irony of life. It will get to that stage when an aged person, no matter that person’s level of wealth, cannot do things for himself/herself anymore. One would require the help of others to do everything. That is life for you. So, those who think they are too powerful and untouchable, are nothing but fools.
