THE BRITISH ROYAL MONARCH REMAINS ROYALTY AND UNDAUNTED - REGARDLESS OF THE MEGHAN MARKLE EPISODE

With the recent drama that has continued to trail the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Interview with Oprah, over Meghan's racism commentary concerning the British Monarch, I strongly believe that the British Royal Monarch, which has existed for centuries till date and still commands respect globally, cannot be dented or painted in bad light because of the said issues playing out.

With the British Queen Elizabeth II, who is the Head of State for about fifteen countries and also Head of the Commonwealth of nations, I don't think the Royal Family should be bothered about this Meghan Markle episode with Prince Harry.

For me, I squally blame Prince Harry for getting married to a “liberal street girl” like Meghan Markle, especially considering his Royalty bloodline and Dynasty. I also blame the British Royal Family for allowing their son to get married to her, especially after they must have done a background check on her and knowing who she really is. Because if we look at it carefully, what exactly did Meghan Markle bring to the table in their marriage union? She's has been divorced before, and was struggling with a failed career, but only to now get married to a Prince of the British Royal family.

Though, her parents are a mix of a black mother and a white father, but everything about her is surrounded by white people. To now hear her talk about racism, playing a victim of it, does not make sense at all. From all I can see, Meghan Markle, rather than be grateful that her love story and marriage to Prince Harry, was more like a fairy tale dream come true, she is apparently demonstrating her true uncultured background, almost more like an 'opportunist'. Their interview with Oprah alone, was reported to have fetched at least $7 million from CBS. Having been stripped off, of every Royal privilege by their decision to leave the Royal family, such publicity stunts with the story of racism, becomes another avenue of wealth, fame and influence, especially for Meghan Markle.

In my own opinion, the British Monarch are not racists as said by Meghan Markle. If they were racists, they wouldn't have allowed Prince Harry to get married to her in the first place. If anything, I expect Meghan Markle to be grateful for being married to the Prince. The Queen and the entire British royal Family are not known to be talking carelessly, especially on issues relating to the Monarch. They are a well-known cultured Royal family globally. I also like the way the British Royal family is handling the burning issue created by their wife. If at all she has issues with the British Royal family, it should be Meghan's “raw and uncultured attitude.”

To me, Meghan is now a tamed wild animal that is used to careless movements in the vast forests, hence she might not be flowing well with the British royals. No decent family in the entire world will accommodate such rudeness from her. The British royals are a decent people in my opinion, but Prince Harry is like the 'blacksheep' of the family, and also just like the prodigal son in the Bible, who, rather than wait for things to get to his turn, wanted his father to give him his own share of the kingdom, which he took and wasted everything on reckless living. And ended up being worst than the slaves in his father's house. Until he got back to his senses and decided to go back home to his father, even if it means being one of the servants to his father.

I think Prince Harry will realize his fault in the near or far future, and would want to return to the royals. I feel pained in my heart when I read the Meghan interview with Oprah. Oprah also share a big portion of the blame on this  allegations of racism against the British royals, for releasing her interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the world, without weighing the consequences of such weighty allegation. Well, I don't blame Oprah, that's how she makes her money by airing such stories that would increase broadcast ratings. But I believe freedom of expression should also have some level of discipline and integrity. Before the said video was released, I said that Meghan is nothing but a SPOILER who married Prince Harry for simply public stunt and attract some fame. What else should one expect from a divorcee like her, and one with her sort of upbringing.

I know my critics will say what has Zik Gbemre got to do with this story, and why not concentrate on the many problems of Nigeria as a developing country? Well, I will continue to speak against things that I consider not right, and commend what is commendable, not only in Nigeria, but also in Africa and the entire world. The Queen of England and the British royals are not known to be racists, as being claimed by Meghan Markle, in my own opinion. The British royals have their own traditions and culture, which they abide strictly to them. And one should expect a lady getting married into such a royal family, to understand this fact, and act accordingly. Every society in the world has its own traditions and cultures, so the British royals have their tradition and customs as well. I have not seen Queen Elizabeth II and her female royals wearing trousers in public, in any video and picture. Or may be Meghan has a mission to drag the well respected British royals into the mud. This is my opinion. But whatever the case may be, such stunts don't last the rest of time.

Zik Gbemre.
