THE AMERICAN (US) GREATEST INVENTOR/GENIUS
Thomas Edison, as the greatest US inventor and genius, was a mentally deficient child who was pulled out from school because he was considered too slow to learn to read and write. But he was taught to read and write at home by his mother.
It is said that his mother turned him into a genius of the 20th century. He invented over 1,000 patents for his inventions. Those who fail and could not pass in high grades, and are without a college degree, may be more knowledgeable and intelligent than the academic professors or the doctorate degree holders.
In Nigeria, if one is not a First-Class graduate of any University, you will hardly be considered fit for any job. Unless one is connected to the Politicians or technocrats in Power. I believe the Nigerian system should not undermine people without higher University degree grades, when considering those fit to work. There are many undiscovered geniuses and inventors in Nigeria who were undermined because they are not children of the elites/politicians.
Knowledge is a special skill and talent, which is given by God. The act of deep thoughts is a gift from God. Such gifted persons may not be able to cram word for word of other people's ideas, but they are gifted with astounding knowledge which often leaves a positive impact in the society.
