SEN NED NWOKO'S ATTACK ON GOV OBOREVWORI MALICIOUS
Senator Ned Nwoko's attack on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori without attacking the immediate past governor of Delta, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, who governed Delta for eight years is not a balanced criticism.
According to Nwoko who represents Delta North, what Delta gets from the federation accounts monthly is more than five South-East states put together. While it is the truth, the fact remains that Oborevwori is governor of Delta for just one year now while his Anioma brother, Okowa ruled for eight years.
Why has Ned Nwoko not criticised Okowa who mortgaged Delta to sponsor the presidential campaigns of Atiku of which Okowa was his running mate? For eight years of Okowa's PDP led administration, Sen Nwoko was deaf and dumb. Now he has become a critic of bad administration of Oborevwori's led administration.
Ned Nwoko wouldn't have attacked Delta's poor performance were a Delta Igbo still the governor. Ned Nwoko shouldn't just attack Governor Oborevwori because he is an Urhobo man. He didn't see any wrong in administration of his Deltan Igbo brother Okowa but just woken up from sleep to turn a critic of Oborevwori.
I am not a fan of bad administration whether the leader is Urhobo person or not. Nwoko's criticism on Oborevwori is malicious and not justified. Ned Nwoko is one of the Senators who collected the recent SUVs from Oborevwori. He has no moral ground to criticize any administration of which he is a beneficiary of bad administration at the national assembly and even at the state.
Why didn't Nwoko reject Oborevwori's jeep to let the governor not waste monies he could use to do meaningful development for the state? Both the APC and PDP lawmakers cooperate with federal Executive to loot further.
Okowa's led administration was free for all looting and Nwoko turned blind eyes and dump ears. Okowa ruined Delta. Agreed Oborevwori was not prepared but we still see construction of 'Flyover bridges' being awarded to Julius Berger even though it is too early to commend him.
I am not his fan.Oborevwori's one year is far better than Okowa of eight years administration.
