With several online reports which reveal that peaceful protesters were being shot at by the Security Operatives at the Lekki toll gate holdout for the EndSars protest in Lagos, and other places, I join other well-meaning Nigerians to strongly condemn this shooting of Civilians.
ON THE HIGHLY CONDEMNABLE SHOOTING OF CIVILIAN PROTESTERS IN LEKKI TOLL GATES, LAGOS
With several online reports which reveal that peaceful protesters were being shot at by the Security Operatives at the Lekki toll gate holdout for the EndSars protest in Lagos, and other places, I join other well-meaning Nigerians to strongly condemn this shooting of Civilians.
There are reports online which indicate several protesters shot were seen being treated on the roadside by fellow protesters. And I cannot help but wonder why would armed security operatives deliberate shoot unarmed civilian protesters? Regardless of the 'excesses' with the said EndSARS protests across the country in the last couple of days, I believe there should be no excuse to shoot them.
One would have expected the said Security Operatives of the army to use plastic bullets and tear gas to disperse and bring to control, the said protesters. That is the standard practice in developed societies when it comes to the control of protesters.
Shooting and killing civilians that are unarmed is highly irresponsible of any Government. This is unacceptable, and should be condemned by all.

We Mobilize Others To Fight For Individual Causes As If Those Were Our Causes
