ON THE CONSPIRACIES AND RUMOURS SURROUNDING CHINA IN THE FACE OF THE CORONA-VIRUS AND 5G TECHNOLOGY – THE NEED FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA TO BE WEARY AND CAUTIOUS WITH THE 5G TECHNOLOGY DEPLOYMENT
With several conspiracies, theories and rumous making the rounds on social media, about the current Corona-Virus pandemic having a link with the planned deployment of the 5G technology in most parts of the world in favour of the Chinese Government, I believe it is necessary for the Federal Government of Nigeria to apply caution and carry out more intense investigation concerning whatever plans it has in the installation/launching of 5G technology in the country. regardless of anything, I believe the health, wellbeing of Nigerians, and the environmental safety of the people, should be paramount and above whatever plans the Government may be nursing concerning the 5G technology.
While we would try and look at some of these conspiracies and controversies surrounding the suspected possible link, or not, between the Corona-Virus Pandemic and the 5G technology as it relates with China, one thing that needs to be reiterated here, which we all should have in mind, is the fact that THE CHINESE AND THEIR GOVERNMENT, ARE ONE SET OF PEOPLE THAT CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED BY ANYONE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. And there are countless live recorded videos online, depicting how the Chinese are the most heartless and disgusting set of human beings on earth. Though, they might appear to be determined,patriotic and purpose-minded, but often times, such attributes are used to achieve the insane and the unimaginable. From their thirst to eat almost anything that craws/walks/flies on the earth, to their racist and discriminatory attributes, especially against blacks. In my candid opinion and analysis, China and its people are one set of people that cannot be trusted, especially as it concerns this pandemic, which seems like a PROPAGANDA TO ACTUALIZE SOME EVIL PLOT. They are simply not honest people.
While many like me, have always suspected that there is more to this Covid-19 outbreak with so many dark areas from the predictions, how and where it all started from and many more, but there are basically two sides to the conspiracies concerning the subject matter. There are those who believe that the reason we are battling with Corona-Virus today is because some set of powerful people who want to control the world decided to install satellites that would make it possible for them. According to this theory, “these set of people tried using past and present US Governments to actualize their plans, but they did not succeed. Then they aligned with the Chinese, paid them billions of dollars and went to a small town Wuhan in China to start the implementation of the 5G technology which is said to be dangerous to man because of its speed and radiation. Why Wuhan? They are very aware of the adverse effect of the 5G masts and they needed a place they could easily cover up, should the downside be so serious, so they choose a place where people eat live animals; bats and the likes so they can pin the deaths on the consumption of live bats which Wuhan people have eaten from time immemorial and they haven't had any virus from them. So, they decided to create a virus (a bioweapon) from bat. The 5G masts where installed in Wuhan in June 2019 and when activated late December 2019, exactly the same time the virus was released. The Chinese I know are a wise people. If this thing had no issue they would start the implementation in their bigger commercial cities like Beijing to foster their businesses and all, but they decided Wuhan so that when they see the effect, in case it comes out so bad, they can quickly manage it. Which they did as people started having health issues as the 5G masts were installed, and they pinned it to Coronavirus and asked that people should go for test where they actually passed the virus to many. Now the virus begins to spread across the world and particularly to countries they initially targeted to install those 5G masts; America (the primary target), Europe, Africa and many others.”
While there are apparently a lot of questions and loopholes in this conspiracy theory, especially when we consider the fact that the said 5G technology was already tested in other countries, and there were no immediate recorded deaths, but we are not here to argue whether this theory is correct or not. The essence of highlighting it here is so that Nigerians would realize that there is more to the things happening around us than meets the eye.
The second conspiracy on this subject matter is more relatable and sensible because it has to do with Doctors and health experts, particularly those in Canada, who have been calling for the delay in the deployment of 5G due to the health risks. According to them, though, 5G technology promises faster downloads, internet speed and so many other things that most people cannot even imagine, but it will also be accompanied by a new type of radiation waves. Health officials are warning over the health risks associated with a 5G roll out. It has not been made clear to the public that 5G will not just be another number and letter on your cell phones. It requires an entirely new infrastructure and thousands of small cellular antennas to be erected throughout cities where it is going to be installed. Scientists are already warning their Governments about the emerging health problems associated with wireless radiation. Canada Scientists and Doctors have added their voices as well. According to Dr. Riina Bray MD (Chemical Engineer, MD), “There most prominent symptoms include headaches, fatigue, decreased ability to concentrate, irritability and insomnia. Impacts on the heart and nervous system are also of great concern.”
They are concerned that the upcoming introduction of 5G will significantly increase the proximity and extent of exposure to microwaves radiation. The number of persons that will develop the symptoms mentioned will rise in the places where 5G is first installed. According to Dr. Magda Havasu PhD(Professor & Researcher), “At lower frequencies, scientists are predicting damage to the eyes, loss of insect population, which are already declining, antibiotic resistance and bacteria, and physiological defects on the nervous system and on the immune system.” Radiation from radio frequency is classed in the same category of carcinogens as lead. One adviser to the World Health Organisation (WHO), said there is enough evidence to suggest that if they were to re-evaluate radio-frequency radiation, that it will be placed in Class One, i.e a human carcinogen. And Government should not simply ignore that. Medical experts are asking for the delay in the 5G deployment until enough testing can be conducted to determine the long term biological effects of 5G technology.
We are aware that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has come out recently to say that there is no correlation between the Fifth Generation Technology (5G), Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Security, it is important to not that MTN had already presented and launched a Demo of the said 5G technology in Abuja some few months back. And there is need for the Federal Government to halt whatever plans it has with the full installation/implementation of the 5G technology until global experts have ascertained that it is safe to human health on the long run.
According to Dr. Henry Nkemadu, Director, Public Affairs, NCC, while making clarifications in a statement following recent materials being circulated, linking COVID-19 with 5G Technology, he said it has become imperative for the commission to give some clarifications. And in his word: “firstly, there is no correlation between 5G Technology and COVID-19 5G is an advancement on today’s 4G technology designed to transform the world positively. Secondly, there is no deployment of 5G in Nigeria at the moment. The NCC, back in November 2019 approved trial test for 5G for a period of three months and that the trial has been concluded and installation decommissioned.
“The trial among others was to study and observe any health or security challenges the 5G network might present. Relevant stakeholders including members of the security agencies were invited to participate during the trial. The NCC will continue to maintain its policy of technology neutrality and will continue to encourage service providers to deploy the best technology that will meet the needs of the society in a secured and friendly manner. Nkemadu explained 5G as a fifth generation of mobile technology, which was an improvement of today’s 4G technology with enhanced capabilities, adding that it provides the platform for new and emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data to improve on living and work. He also explained that 5G belonged to the same class of Non-ionising Radiation, and as such not different from those of 2G, 3G and 4G, adding that there was nothing to worry about as safety and human health were top priorities in the design and deployment of 5G.”
Regardless of the explanation given above, and while we are aware that the NCC had not issued any license for 5G in Nigeria, the bottom line is that the Federal Government should apply caution in its planned deployment of the 5G technology until we are very sure of its long term effects on the health of Nigerians. Even though the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) had reported that there is 5G deployment to countries like South Korea, China, U.S., Germany and others since middle of 2019, the Nigerian authorities in the communication technology industry and the Government, should still halt its plans regarding 5G roll out until we fully understand the health risks associated with this new technology. Regardless of the fact that the 5G technology is meant to greatly improve our level of communication with the world, but of what use is such technology when it is seen as a threat to human lives and existence? Also, there wasn't much fuzz and controversies when we had the 2G, 3G and 4G technologies, like we do now with the 5G technology. That alone tells us that something is not right somewhere.

We Mobilize Others To Fight For Individual Causes As If Those Were Our Causes
