ON DEFENCE MINISTER ASKING NIGERIANS TO DEFEND THEMSELVES - ANOTHER INSTANCE OF THE SORT OF INEPT POLITICAL LEADERS WE HAVE UNDER THIS ADMINISTRATION

We are already in a state of complete anarchy, when a supposed Defence Minister, would publicly come on national television, to indirectly suggest that the Nigerian people, including women and children in the local communities, should 'defend themselves' against the daily onslaught by Boko Haram terrorists, herdsmen killers, armed bandits and kidnappers, which the Nigerian Armed Forces composing of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Police and other Security Agencies, have not been able to stop. That is a total balderdash Absolute meaningless talk.

Asking civilians to stand and face armed bandits/terrorists is not only a totally terrible advice, but also an indication that the present crop of political leaders under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, are overwhelmed, absolutely helpless, and cannot muster any constructive idea to address the myriad of security problems facing the nation.

It clearly shows that this government is so bankrupt of ideas. How can a supposed Minister of Defence say such a thing even when the bandits/herdsmen/terrorists/kidnappers usually attack in their hundreds, with their AK47s, RPGs and  & other deadly weapons?

With what does the Minister expect the civilians to defend themselves? sticks & cutlasses? Where's this line of thought coming from? Or is it that the Minister knows something Nigerians don't know?

The truth of the matter is that, any political appointee under this Buhari-led Federal administration, who has refused to admit their incompetence and honorably resign because of their personal benefits, should not regret their decision in the future because history will remember them as part of the Buhari-led government that has woefully failed the Nigerian people.

Just like the Defence Minister, this was how Rotimi Amaechi goofed on national television for not being able to answer a simple question on the insecurity situation in Nigeria. Agreed he is the Transport Minister, but at least he should have an opinion on the security problem in the country. Besides, who is he constructing the roads and railways for? If he is not concerned about the welfare and protection of the people. This is a former Governor of Rivers State for Eight years, who was talking like a person with dementia. It is just sad!

Unfortunately, Nigerians are short-sighted and short-minded and will forget all of these mis-governance in a couple of years to come. But it will continue to be remembered by history that the Minister of Defence under the President Buhari-led Federal Government, is a complete failure. I mean, how do you expect civilians who have no arms to defend themselves against well-armed terrorists/criminals? This is the typical example of the sort of 'failures' the Buhari Government recently appointed as non-career Ambassadors designate after their retirement, and which was approved by our Nigerian irresponsible national legislators. One begins to wonder what hope and future do we have under this present administration? May God help all of us!
