OKUAMA: IS NIGERIA IN DEMOCRACY OR MILITARY DICTATORSHIP?

OKUAMA: IS NIGERIA IN DEMOCRACY OR MILITARY DICTATORSHIP?

We are told Nigeria is practicing democracy since 1999. Is this true? I don't believe.

Nigeria, under President Bola Tinubu, has been so militarilised to a point police roles are being usurped by the Nigerian military.

The nation's military doesn't know its constitutional roles. Supposed Nigerian leaders don't understand what democracy is all about. The Nigerian police is ignorant of its roles in a society.

Tinubu is an ignorant leader because he doesn't understand its roles as a President and Commander-In-Chief. Tinubu asking Nigerian military to perform the role of the police is sheer or deliberate display of ignorance.

Why has the military got to do with internal land disputes between Okuama community of Ughelli South LGA and Okoloba community of Bomadi LGA in Delta state?

Is it not a national shame that the Delta Police has handed over the traditional ruler of Ewu Kingdom of Urhobo in Delta State to military for a supposed and questionable peace mission that turned fatal.

Nobody is talking about the extermination of Okuama. Is it the role of soldiers to settle land dispute matters. As for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who is a placeholder that doesn't understand his role as governor of Delta, he doesn't understand governance.

For ignorant Nigerian elites who will justify why the soldiers have to take over the roles of soldiers, saying Police can't handle matters hence soldiers are called to perform police roles is that not foolishness?

The police are trained to hand civilian matters and not soldiers. There is nothing soldiers can do that police cannot do if well equipped to police Nigeria internally.

If we don't need police then the national assembly should scrap the Police Act and let the military takeover all existing Police structures in all LGAs and communities in Nigeria.

Ewu traditional ruler rendered himself to police and police donated him to the military. Is that democracy or military dictatorship?

CP Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi, Commissioner of Police Delta state and IG Egbetokun should resign or be sacked by Tinubu.

CP Delta is Yoruba, IG Yoruba who are kinsmen of Tinubu so he still keeps them. For delivering the King of Ewu to the military to be investigated shows how incompetent and weak IG Egbetokun and Delta state police command led by CP Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi are.

CP Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi and IG Egbetokun are not worth to be police Chiefs since they don't understand the roles of the Nigerian police.

Policing is not about doing "stop and search' to extort money from motorists and detain innocent people in their stinking cells all aimed to collect bail money.

Tinubu should order the Defense Headquarters to handover all matters of Okuama to the police with immediate effect.

We need peace in Okuama and there is urgent need for the Nigerian military to handover of all Okuama matters to the Nigerian police for proper investigation and prosecution of those found wanting in the law court of justice.
