After all the drama of mischief intensely promoted in the social media, in a politically motivated conspiracy of blackmail against unstoppable Delta state governorship hopeful, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, there is hardly any surprise that a High Court in Effurun, Delta state, has thrashed all charges in the case accusing Gbagi of stripping naked staff of one his hotels.

Obviously, the allegations were most frivolous and court ruling not a surprise.
The false accusers can further redeem their image by tendering public apology.
Ruling, victory against destructive social media trial which must be discouraged.
The politics of political blackmail will never help us as a people in Delta State…
People should always stand for the truth.
After all the drama of mischief intensely promoted in the social media, in a politically motivated conspiracy of blackmail against unstoppable Delta state governorship hopeful, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, there is hardly any surprise that a High Court in Effurun, Delta state, has thrashed all charges in the case accusing Gbagi of stripping naked staff of one his hotels.
Even more reassuring is the fact that in allowing justice to prevail and vindicating Gbagi, presiding Justice Dolor lashed the trio of accusers in the case, of creating unnecessary fraudulence, forgeries, manipulations and acting to discredit one of the Delta's most illustrious sons with intent to extort him and smear his good name.
Two key lessons from the ruling. One, justice will always expose and displace injustice and blackmail. Two, as I have expressed earlier, people must desist from petty social media trials. The habit mischief makers and gullible supporters playing judge and prosecutor on social media against innocent persons based on cooked up allegations does not help anybody.
If today it is Gbagi who has to be on the receiving end, tomorrow it could be you or anyone else. Anyone with genuine case against anybody must engage in lawful action in the law courts to seek redress.
