IS OKOWA'S SUPPOSED VICTORY AT THE ELECTION TRIBUNAL QUESTIONABLE?
 
It is without doubt, that the supposed election victory of Ifeanyi Okowa  at the Election Petition Tribunal on Friday September 20,2019, has sent a bad signal to the world as regards the integrity of gubernatorial elections in the country, specifically Delta State. This is hinged on the fact that the March 9, 2019 gubernatorial election in Delta State was marred with Electoral Fraud which includes vote buying, electorial violence, electorial killings, ballot box snatching, voters intimidation, over voting, writing of unrealistic election results, etc.
 
The said election victory of Okowa, which was legalized by the Election Tribunal on Friday 20/9/19, in Asaba, is alleged to be a “judgement victory” that was bought with public wealth. Let's look at it. If Okowa's supposed victory at the said Election Tribunal, was an honest and well-deserved victory that was based on transparent election tribunal Judgement, it would have sent wide jubilations across the State, since it is adjudged that he was voted for overwhelmingly. But we all know that it was not so, hence, even with the said announced election judgement victory, it was as if cold water was poured in the hearts of majority of Deltans because the people knew better.
 
From the prevailing atmosphere around the State, the said Okowa's election supposed victory actually brought sadness because it was a heartbreaking news, which was never expected by majority of Deltans, hence there is no jubilation at the entire Delta State. It is evident of the fact that indeed, Deltans are really tired of the PDP bad leadership and governance in the entire State, which has been there for about 20 years plus now.
 
The PDP administration since 1999 till date, have brought nothing but untold hardship, abject poverty, youth criminality/cultism, youth violence, armed robbery, and all kinds of violent crimes across the State. No reasonasble Deltan in his/her right senses will encourage, or want the PDP bad administration in the State to remain. The PDP administrations in the State have succeeded in sending all the Oil companies and Oil Servicing Companies out of the oil city of Warri and its environs, due to high level of youth criminality/cultism, youth restiveness(youth violence), high level corruption, "deve" extortions, etc. The PDP administrations have brought pains to the heart of the people, and now they are allegedly using Delta State money to bribe INEC officials  and election Tribunal Judges.
 
How can an Election Petition Tribunal throw away over 5 million exhibits in other to give Okowa a supposed victory that he never won? Are they saying that the over 5 million exhibits are nothing but trash? What a shame! It is painful that the state is still under the bondage of an ex-convict like James Ibori and his PDP-greedy-driven administration. Those that are happy that Okowa has supposedly won at the Election Tribunal, are obviously people that are heartless and without human conscience, who want the statuesque to remain because it favors their bellies and private pockets.
 
They can only mock man, but they cannot mock God, for God can never be mocked. With Him, nothing is hidden under the Sun. These people know very well in their deepest hearts that the election was manipulated. But no matter what, they shall all reap whatever they have sown because no man, no matter how supposedly powerful, can buy God. Reports have noted that Okowa has already started his mockery of Thanksgiving at the Government House over the said supposed election victory, and in few days time, Ibori, Okowa and their followers will go for a grand mock Thanksgiving in the Church, over their bought Election Tribunal Judgement.
 
However, as a well-meaning Deltan, i call on the appropriate authorities of the Federal Government to investigate the three Judges that heard and delivered the said flawed Election Petition Tribunal judgment because it is funny for over 5 million exhibits presented at the hearing to be without merits. They need to investigate the known and unknown bank accounts of the said three Judges, as well as that of their families, friends and their activities.
 
The Judgement delivered to give Okowa his supposed victory at the Election Petition Tribunal  on Friday September 20, 2019, is allegedly “A PAID AND BOUGHT JUDJEMENT VICTORY”, which does not reflect the true wishes and desires of the majority of Deltans. It is alleged that this was exactly what Ibori and the PDP-led administrations in Delta  State have been using Delta State money to do since 1999 till date. It is allegedly to be 'cash and carry election judgements', including Ibori's exconvict cases judgements. And in the midst of all this, it is the State and its people that have been suffering underdevelopment and poverty in the midst of plenty. Mark my words, Delta State will never develop, as far as Ibori's PDP structures are still in power.
 
The few “educated elites” in Delta that are saying that the Urhobos should wait for their turn, are doing so because they are comfortable and benefitting from the statuesque. And by so doing, they are endorsing bad governance and encouraging Ibori and his PDP structures to  Delta State to continue stealing public money meant for development. Rather than demand for good governance in Delta State, they prefer things as they are because they are benefitting from this apology of a government.
 
If the elites in Delta State lack the vision of development that would benefit all, then it means Delta State is doomed. Do these elites think foreigners will appear to fix Delta State for us if they refuse to think? Is the Ibori and his PDP's “turn-by-turn-to-share-public-money-arrangement” to plant fronts as Governors and Government Officials of the State to run the State  as their family business, more important than genuine development of the Delta State for the benefit of all? It is a pity that these few Delta elites have allowed themselves to be governed by heartless politicians that are without conscience, and they see nothing wrong in this. Now they are allegedly using Delta State money to bribe Election Tribunal Judges to buy judgements at the election tribunal/courts. Something they have been doing since 1999 till date.
 
For how long will the few elites of Delta State remain ignorant and become willing tools at all times to accept this rubbish from greedy politicians and an ex-convict? We should be more concerned about our Delta State and its overall progress. Imagine the entire Warri and environs have no standard Airport to accommodate big aircrafts, which is due to small size of the runway of the Osubi Airstrip. The land is there, and all that is required is to expand the runway and install modern aviation gadgets. But Ibori and his PDP structures have refused to do this. Rather, they prefer to use public funds to foot election malpractice, and to chatter private jets. The so-called Delta elites don't see anything wrong in all of this. They are just more concerned about the “turn-by-turn-to-share-public-money-arrangement” of Ibori and his PDP structures that will not develop Delta State. Why should people who call themselves educated elites, allow themselves to be used by few heartless and cruel Delta State politicians? All the so-called Delta elites know how to do best is to Google websites and blogs and share contents. How can a person who say he is educated, be excited that they are being governed by heartless politicians and greedy politicians of the likes of Ibori and his boys?
 
Yes, they would say Zik Gbemre is a trouble maker and always criticising Ibori and his fronts in government in Delta State, but that is only because I dare to speak my mind concerning the bad governance, and the atrocities committed daily in Delta State"s public space. But the so-called Delta elites are comfortable that they are wasting Delta State money to buy election judgements. I will not let them continue to live in ignorance in Delta State and be praising heartless politicians.
 
If the so-called Delta educated elites are comfortable with the allegations of bribery of election Tribunal Judges since 1999 to date with Delta State public money meant for development and infrastructure in the State, then it means they are very ignorant and primitive like those of the stone age Era. Who will fight the fight for our people to free themselves from the bondage placed on them by Ibori and his fronts in government? If we all sit and fold our hands, or pretend that all is well, then it means our people will live forever under this political bondage with their children and unborn children. Ibori and his fronts will pass this political bondage leadership to their children and unborn children to continue from where they will stop. I am surprised the so-called Delta state educated elites talk about the happenings in other States of Nigeria but turn a blind eye on their own delta State. What a shame?
