ELECTIONS & TRIBUNAL JUDGEMENTS ARE OVER, BUT WHO WON ON MERIT?
My view on the questionable elections victories and courts affirmation is to x-ray these victories and court judgements impartially since 2003. I'm not in support of any party.
Politicians blaming elections malpractices and court judgments against their interests have been involved at one time or the other in being on the winning side of the bargain.
What every sitting governor does is to retain power in his state for his party and that does not depict victory, but rather a sign of a failed country.
Though this is more common in Lagos, Delta, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom. Who says elections in Nigeria are won on popularity and merit? "You know na".
Let the people stop deceiving themselves with the phrases, "congratulations you won the election, you won your opponents, it is the will of God, God has mandated me to govern, I won because God helped me to win the election, God delivered me to win 38 election cases."
Don't bring God's name into elections that were not won on popularity and merit but by hook or crook. Can any governor or the President swear before God they won the 2023 elections on merit?
Those who call themselves men of God should stay away from telling lies by proclaiming false prophecies after collecting money from guber and presidential candidates. The so-called pastors should be ashamed of themselves.
It is painful that new electoral laws were mockeries. Billions of naira spent for BVAS was a waste. Since 2003 at the state level the state governors appoint political thugs as their SSAs, SAs, EAs, foot soldiers who they arm to cause trouble on election days and after which results are written and given to INEC to declare.
Some of these results are just written on papers without serial numbers. Did Tinubu and the state governors win elections on merit? Did Tinubu and state governors win election cases in tribunals and Supreme Court on merit? Even a fool at 40 should know better.
Nigerian lawyers and judges who handled election matters have been made richer and richer. Once you are involved in election matters of Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and the presidency as judges or lawyers you are made. All these congratulatory messages should stop because election matters are not won on polls and the tribunals, down to the Supreme Court on merit.
Can they deceive and mock God? There is no need to hold guber elections in Delta, Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom states, etc. The state governors should just nominate people and swear them in as state governor rather than wasting people's time to conduct elections that are never used to elect politicians.
In the entire country, council chairmen and councillors are appointed by state governors.
Since 2003 elections are not real in Delta state, for every elected office from the ward councillors to governors. It is the tradition and it is so in other states and not only in Delta.
Funds that ought to be used for development are used to pay thugs, INEC officials, and Security operatives to declare fake results and funds that are supposed to be used for development are allegedly used to fund and bribe judges on election matters. How can Nigeria develop with this level of impunity?
It is not about Gov Sherriff of Delta State but it is the traditional practice that is widespread since 2003. I ask who wins election on merit in Nigeria? I ask who wins election matters in tribunal and down to the Supreme Court on merit in Nigeria? The tribunals, Appeal courts and Supreme Court judgments are the same and watery. "LACK OF MERIT" is the official language of the Nigerian judges on election matters.
Why budgeting money for elections that are never real in Nigeria? Those in power should just nominate names of politicians to be sworn in, in all elected offices in Nigeria. It is not about Delta State but it is about the entire nation of Nigeria. Those politicians complaining about this and that are still the same people who are the problems of this country.
The elections and tribunal judgments miscarriages are majorly encouraged by the local communities who will always protect one of their identified thieves which we call in Urhobo dialect 'Oghi,Oji and some other tribes dialects call it 'Ole'. Nigerians believe that they should protect their thief as far as he or she is our brother or sister and corruption has spread from the local communities to the judiciary and government at all levels. It is expected that one is expected to loot in government and once one is elected or appointed in public offices congratulatory messages will fill the air and those who are ready to feed on sycophancy will spring on board.
Chief Godwin Notoma in one of his commentaries noted, "Should we encourage corruption and ineptitude when the leader is our son, only to criticize the same when the leader is not our son? I live among my people in the village, and I experience this philosophy of "protect our thieving son but criticize their thieving son." Incidentally, our ethnic nationality has many proverbs for encouraging this attitude.
Our communities are made up of quarters or families, and quite often, community leadership is done by rotation; from one quarter or family to the next. Quite often, we find members of a Village Quarter defending a very corrupt village Chairman who happens to be from their Quarter. What is the result? Lack of development in the village and selfish enrichment of corrupt individuals; a phenomenon which has been transferred to the Local Government, State, and National levels. Consequently, all of us suffer the effects of bad leadership, against which we complain", concluded by Notoma.
When elections and judgments are not in their favour they complain bitterly but when elections and judgments are in their favour they celebrate their fake victories in collaboration with pastors who proclaim packs of lies with mockery of Thanksgivings in churches.
Atiku said publicly recently how he pleaded with Obasanjo as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria not to take over Lagos State, and told the Nigerian people how Obasanjo grabbed other South Western States of Yoruba to PDP states and till date Obasanjo has not refuted that statement. Atiku' statement is evidence that election results and election judgments are fake.
No foreign nation will fix our country and it is our responsibility to fix it.
The truth is bitter but we must accept and hear it that elections and election matters are not won on merit. I know politicians and their morons will say I don't have evidence to prove that election results and election judgment's victories are fake.
Of course, they are fake hence the country has failed in every sector. If elections are real development would be seen, if elections are real in Nigeria the naira will not be reduced to ordinary paper. If elections were real youths will not be "japaing" out of the country in thousands. If elections were real there would have been stable power availability in the country.
If elections were real inflation and hardships will not be what it is now. With free and fair elections and judgements, Nigerians would have elected responsible and thoughtful leaders like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore and Nelson Mandela of South Africa.
Those in power were not elected but forced themselves on the people as leaders.
