DELTA INCITING PARADOX: RAKING HIGHEST ALLOCATION FROM FAAC, YET THE MOST UNDERDEVELOPED
I concur with the view of Dr Emmanuel Ojameruaye on Delta being the state with highest federal allocation for the month of August 2023.
As noted by Ojameruaye, "Delta state has the highest allocation, almost double that of Lagos state and quadruple that of Ebonyi and many other states.
"Question: What has Delta state been doing with its allocations? In addition to criticizing the federal government, we should also take a look at what our own state government is doing and hold the leaders accountable".
Delta allocation is being misappropriated by siting governors and ally elites and traditional rulers blinded by the remnants being given to them, forgetting that their people are languishing in poverty.
Crime is on the increase where the most violent youths are rewarded with useless hangers-on jobs of Special Assistants, SA or Senior Special Assistant, SSA and Executive Assistance, EA, whatever the difference in nomenclature beyond the difference in the compassionate salaries.
To them, that is the end of life as if there is no tomorrow. When they get older they push them aside and go for more violent youths that can do dirty jobs of snatching ballot materials and those that can intimidate decent people.
When will this rascality end in Delta? The highest monthly paid state by federal government but the poorest state. All the roads in the cities, towns and villages are bad unless it is home towns, cities of politicians or where they live in the cities.
With all this, some elites without conscience still praise them. Delta is the worst state when you talk of accountability. The place holder governor Sheriff is only accountable to Dr Ifeanyi Okowa who imposed him.
There is no aspect of Delta I haven't talked about since 1999. The worst government since 1999 is Okowa/Sheriff administrations.
The misappropriation of the commonwealth is too glaring, inciting, when you see the FAAC August, 2023 allocation to Delta.
