AFRICANS/NIGERIANS ARE THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM AND OBSTRUCTION TO THEIR DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT

AFRICANS/NIGERIANS ARE THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM AND OBSTRUCTION TO THEIR DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT
I have repeatedly noted in past write-ups that, the greatest problem and danger to the black man is not the white man or any other thing out there. The greatest problem/danger to the black man is the black man and his intrinsic desire for glory where he has not worked. That is why the issues of tribalism, ethnicity, nepotism, and what have you, have always been a problem with the black people, especially those in Africa. And one of the factors that drive this is sheer Greed, and gross lack of love for one another as blacks. This disunity amongst the black race, regardless of the continent they are, is the major reason why we have not been able to get ahead of others we are far more endowed than, in the areas of civilization, development, and advancement.
The saddest part is that, despite all that had happened and are still happening to the Blackman in the African country (which includes Nigeria as the most populous Black nation in the world), we are yet to learn our lessons, identify where our problems lie, and what exactly that needs to be done for us to be rubbing shoulders with the developed societies in Europe and North America when it comes to global economic and political power and influence.
I recently saw a video online which painted this rather unfortunate state and picture in the African continent, by a guest in Prime Hour tv program. In his words: “This is my quote, and I repeat: ‘POVERTY IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF NATURAL RESOURCES, FINANCIAL RESOURCES OR HUMAN RESOURCES. IT IS THE ABSENCE OF LEADERSHIP.’ I will begin by saying that when greed, tribalism, ethnocracy, and nepotism encapsulate a group of people, no matter how rich they may be, they will never see the future. Africans that have had the hearts to push Africa to another dimension have been destroyed by the same Africans. Most of the fathers of independence had their nations at heart. And if they were given the opportunity to execute what they intended to do, it would have been very possible for Africa to have emerged earlier long.
“I’ll give you a few analysis that will shock you. A country like Togo got independence from France, under the leadership of Sylvanus Olympio. Olympio did not want the France CFA, Olympio created the Togo currency. But a man called Étienne Eyadéma, a Togolese, was used to eliminate Olympio that has Togo at heart. He killed Sylvanus Olympio. You go down to Burkina Faso, there is this guy called Maurice Yaméogo, he was the one that fought for their independence. But he was annihilated. The person that came later after him, Thomas Sankara, in 1987, he was still eliminated by Blaise Compaoré. You come to Central African Republic. There’s David Dacko. David Dacko was to change the nation to another dimension, but a man called Jean-Bédel Bokassa was used to eliminate him. You go down to Congo Brassanke, there’s the guy called Marien Ngouabi. Ngouabi also was eliminated by a coup de tat which brought in Acques Joachim Yhombi-Opango. If you go down to Equatorial Guinea, there’s this guy called Francisco Macías Nguema. It was his own cousin, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, that was used to eliminate him.
“You go down to Ghana, it is the same thing. You go to Nigeria the likes of Nnamdi Azikiwe and Tafawa Balewa were eliminated out of the picture by people close to them. Go to Mozambique, Samora Moisés Machel, it was his close partner that eliminated him. The West and I repeat; THE WEST WILL NEVER AND EVER HAVE ACCESS TO AFRICA UNTIL THEY USE AFRICANS. That is why I say, WHAT IS EATING THE BEAN SEED, IS WITHIN THE BEAN SEED. AFRICANS ARE FULL WITH GREED, FULL WITH ETHINOCRACY, TRIBALISM, AND NEPOTISM. AND IF NOTHING IS DONE, WE WILL KEEP ON KILLING OUR BEST EVERY YEAR. As I talk to you, recently, I will talk to you confidently, that this guy, John Pombe Magufuli has convinced us again once more, that Africa does not need any support outside the continent. Lazarus Someone, in his eight-minute speech commemorating the death of Magufuli, he said; the unpredictable Magufuli. They did not know that leadership could run in Africa without money being borrowed from International Monetary Fund (IMF), because they did not know Magufuli was coming. They did not know that projects could be set up and executed on time, because they did not know that Magufuli was coming. They did not know that somebody can pay attention to the international, and the General Assembly, and the United Nations, because they did not know that Magufuli is coming.
“Africa Presidents have given us the impression that you must borrow to succeed. Before Magufuli came to power, most of the mines in Tanzania were privatized. But what he did was that he came back, and then sanctioned the foreign companies that were mining in Tanzania, until 16% of those particular mines were given back as ownership, to Tanzanians. A scenario occurred in Zambia. Zambia is the best producer of copper. They have a copper belt in Zambia. Zambia sold that copper belt to an American Company upfront, without payment, that they would explore the copper and pay them later. The American firm came and took that particular copper belt turned it within two years, and paid the money upfront. And is giving Zambia a zero point zero, zero percent tax, as royalty for their mines. Was that colonialism? It is talking about stupidity and poor leadership management. Who brought the gun to give that copper belt to America? Nobody brought any gun! When last did you see Europeans using… assimilation or indirect rule in Africa? It is no longer there. Let us consider the fact that they are taking a greater chunk of our resources, the balance we have here is very possible, for us to manage those things.
“How can a man come in and in 5 years’ time, without borrowing a dime from the IMF, a dime from World Bank, yet he was able to restore six Aircraft into the Tanzania Airline? He was able to build bridges, build railway lines, restore the hydroelectricity project that could give Tanzania 99% guarantee of electricity supply throughout the year, without borrowing a dime. China proposed to borrow him (Magufuli) 10 billion to reconstruct and expand a Port in Da Salem, he refused. Yet, the Port has under extension. Where did he get the money? That is what we are talking about. A man that came and gave free education to ‘all’ government schools in Tanzania. 20,000 ghost workers were discovered. That’s where our money was going into. That’s not colonialism. He also arrested 14,000 unqualified workers in the government. Those 34,000 persons who were earning salaries they did not merit, were all melting down the economy, and it was not a colonial master. I think, if you go down to most African Countries, there are people who are earning salaries that do not exist in the government. Where is colonialism in all these things I have outlined? A man who said that education is free for girls, but the moment you become pregnant, your family will start paying fees. A nice way of fighting moral decadence and teenage pregnancy. Who are we going to blame? Where did he get the money to do all of this? He once came and saw the poor state of the Tanzanian hospital, beds were scattered and rotten, patients were sleeping on the bare floor. He fired the entire medical staff and gave them one month to repair all the beds in Tanzania, and suddenly from nowhere, the beds were repaired in a space of two months.”
I once wrote a piece on the now late Tanzanian President, John Pombe Magufuli, in which I wished that all Nigerian politicians will be like him, and the country will be better off. Everything said above about the African countries, is evidently in Nigeria and even worse. We are often forced to ask is, what is wrong with us as a people? How can we, as the most populated Black nation in the world, be so naturally and physically endowed and blessed amongst the Black African continent, yet we are ranked as the world’s number one with the highest population of people living in abject poverty? The only answer I can think of, is the fact that we have been very unfortunate to keep having political leaders who are visionless, and the majority of the population are no different, or worse than those leading them. We have taken everything we learned and took from those who colonized us and have used them against ourselves to obstruct our needed development.
Dr. Israel Nonyerum Davidson of Newcastle Business School in the United Kingdom, once said that: ENDEMICALLY CORRUPT AND MASSIVELY MISMANAGED NATIONS, AND CITIZENS IN BONDAGE LIKE OURS – NIGERIA, CANNOT BE LIBERATED BY THE SAME INHABITANTS, OR POLITICIANS INFESTED WITH THE SAME EVIL THAT HOLDS THE COUNTRY AND THE PEOPLE DOWN. It is a proven fact; you check it yourself. Therefore, Nigeria cannot be an exception to this universal rule/code for successful national liberation, freedom, peace and prosperity. Meaning, NIGERIA CAN NEVER BE SUCCESSFULLY LIBERATED BY THE CROP OF RECYCLED, NON-VALUE ADDING, JOBLESS, AND ENDEMICALLY-CORRUPT POLITICIANS IN POWER TODAY IN OUR COUNTRY. NO MATTER THE ORIGIN, COLOUR, OR NAME OF THE COALITION THEY HIDE UNDER.
I will keep repeating this statement that: no foreigner can effectively and efficiently develop our country for us. That onerous task, no matter how challenging it might seem, only belongs to us and can best be done by us. So, it is high time our political leaders, including the elites; STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND START USING THEIR ‘THINKING FACULTIES ARIGHT’ IN HARNESSING THE ENORMOUS RESOURCES IN THE NATION, DEVELOP THIS COUNTRY AND GET IT OUT OF THE LEAGUE OF THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES IN NO DISTANT FUTURE.
