I believe as Africans, we have got it all wrong from inception, with the way we have jettisoned our traditional ways of life to copy and paste that of the Whiteman - Americans and Europeans.

I believe as Africans, we have got it all wrong from inception, with the way we have jettisoned our traditional ways of life to copy and paste that of the Whiteman - Americans and Europeans.
In the Yoruba land for instance, they now term the African Traditional marriage ceremony as an engagement, while the Church marriage is the proper marriage. Are they saying our grandfathers and grandmothers who were not Christians, didn't marry?
In my own opinion, the entire African continent has lost out. We speak their English and French as the official languages of Africans. We study and practice their laws, medicines and governance. We dress the white people's dress and practice imported religions and white marriages.
To the extent that Nigerians now marry twice if not, no Nigerian person will recognize our original African Traditional Marriage. As Africans, we eat and prefer the white people's food. The Africans don't only wear the wigs and gown as lawyers, but they have also copied every aspect of the white people lives. Africans also imitate the white people's accent when speaking.
The Africans believe the white people are superior to them. And the black African leaders are just greedy and wicked to their fellow ordinary citizens. They even depend on the peanuts as aids from the white people. It is just pathetic.
However, for the subject matter, in my own opinion, I think the National Assembly should enact a Bill, which will be passed into law, to formally recognize the African Traditional marriage as the most superior marriage in Nigeria. This is because both families come together to sanction and bless the marriage. That is the way I see it.

We Mobilize Others To Fight For Individual Causes As If Those Were Our Causes
